Actors

Although the sitcoms characters are from Greek Cypriot descent and it would be culturally more acceptable if it was acted by Greeks or non-British people, it did not bother to select actors or actress for some roles. As all my characters can speak fluent English, my concern was not finding someone who was able to do the broken english greek accent but to find someone who closely resembled my characters and was okay and comfortable with doing comedy. The actors/actresses that I have selected are some of Greek descent and others who have acted in foreign based tv shows.  Name: Georgia Groome Character: Hara Agent: United Agents CV: Georgia has appeared in TV shows such as Up the Women, The Bright Side and The Bill. Movies that she has also done are London to Brighton, The Disappeared, Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Double Date and Taking Stock. Hara is one of the main characters and I believe that Georgia will be able to act her out, not only because character

Development of Idea

After the Green light presentation with Simon and Andrea I have decided to take their feedback into consideration ad also change of a few things on my sitcom. The feedback given was that I should have more locations an be careful of stereotyping the men. - I have decided to introduce a new character called Savva. He is Hara's crush from university and she constantly humiliates herself in front of him, until coincidently her grandmothers invites his family for dinner. - a few new locations have been introduced but are not reassuring locations; the university cafeteria, church and the outside of a nightclub. After my tutorial with Simon on 24.10.17 he pointed some issues out with my script:  - the synopsis I gave him don't give him a sense of atmosphere, flow or tone nor emotion - I have to make sure my synopsis make it clear who my characters are, what the tone is and what the setting is like as well -make it clear that the show is a sitcom, that it is funny. - Pilot
