Research on Coast of Kent

After our discussion with Helen today as to what we will do on our project, we concluded that my team will do it on Kent's coast and the issues it faces.

Below is research on possible topics we can explore in our documentary: (Please refer to Rosie Penns bog post on 'Kent Coastal Wildlife')

  • stranded seals http://thanetcoast.org.uk/projects-and-issues/projects-and-issues/
  • Filter feeding Crustaceans in the Stour Estuary, Kent, UK; three species were found ( Corophium volutator, Corophium multisetosum and Chelicorophium curvispinum)

  • Brownfield Land - this is land which used to be used industrially use or commercially used

  • Sewage problem caused by Souther Water http://www.kentonline.co.uk/whitstable/news/water-firm-fined-500k-after-26885/
