Each God plays a role in the way the world is run. With the sitcom focusing around a Greek Cypriot family, I found it fitting to name the episode after them.

Brief Family Tree of Gods

What names were given to what episode and why?

Pilot Episode is named after  Hestia who was the goddess of home and family. The reason I find it fitting is because my sitcom family have changed their homes (moving from Cyprus to London). It is an episode which establishes the characters, the family and their new home.

Episode 2 is named after Dionysus who is the god of wine, festivity, madness and wild frenzy. In the second episode the family are enjoying themselves drinking alcohol, creating alcohol and finding themselves in bizarre situations such as swingers parties and drunkly confessing their love.

Episode 3 is named after Zeus in his role of law and order and destiny and fate. One of the main characters Stav is dressed as Zeus in this episode but also the destiny of the other characters is in his hand as their nights did not go as planned. Yiayia Maria and Pappou Andrea wanting a night with his brother and Hara on a mission to forget Mr Conrad on her night out only for it to go disastrous.

Episode 4 is named after Aphrodite who was the goddess of love. The episode focuses strongly around sex with the parents visiting a live guru to learn new sex positions, Kocthy selling ancient greek sex cards and Hara focusing on the topic of online sex workers.

Episode 5 is name after Ares who is god of war, battle and courage. Although there is no fighting in this episode, Hara is faced with obstacles throughout the day which she powers through. With pushing the car to the side of the road and getting splashed, getting a fine and once again humiliating herself in front of Mr Conrad, Hara still shows courage an determination throughout the episode.

Episode 6 is named after Nike, the goddess of victory in both war and peaceful competition. This is the last episode of the season and bring everything together. Hara gets what she always wanted,Mr Conrad, Yiayia Maria sets up the date with him, her parents finally find the spark they've been looking for. Therefore, the characters have achieved their goals of the series.
