Branding for my Sitcom

When it came to make the book, I wanted to make it believable that it is something which does or could belong to E4. I did research on what it means to brand your product as well as the font used in E4 which is what I used in my book and my posters.

Branding is used for promotion. Typically, when you do a master or an ad for shows it contains the logo of the channel, the name of your show, colourful to grab the audience's attention, a clear layout with either small images or one main image and the date of release.

For E4, its brand identity is having the logo on the bottom right hand side, the colour purple and its own font which is typically ITC American Typewriter.

Why do you need to brand?
- clearly delivers the message
- confirms credibility
- emotionally connects your target prospects with your product or service
- motivates
- creates user loyalty

Branding is a major part in the marketing sector of your show and must relate to the needs and wants of your customers and allow them to escape from reality. it is a type of promise to your customers and it also tells them what to expect from you.

Tips:
- get a great logo
- write brand message
- integrate your brand
- create a 'voice'
- develop a tagline
- design templates
- be true to your brand
- be consistent

Checklist:
1. does it relate to target audience? Will they 'get it'?
2. does it share uniqueness of what you offer and why it is important?
3. does it reflect the band promise that you are making to who you are targeting as well as to your internal audience?
4. does it reflect the values that you want to represent as a customer?
