Research into interview roles

This blog is here to show research I did to prep for my interview. I wanted to make sure I knew what each role is for.

Studio Director 
Being able to follow camera movement and be quick - work closely with vision mixers and production assistants 
Give clear instructions and make clear decisions
Must be aware of what is happening with the production and what is supposed to come next 
Make sure that everyone is clear on what role they are playing and what they have to do 
Being able to take control 


Production Manager
- schedules
- resources that are required
- cost and quality
- monitor production and adjust schedules if needed
- liaise among different departments
- supervise team
- review work performance
- health and safety

Floor Manager 
- make sure everything is set 
- checking equipment
- referring to floor plans
- assisting guest
- relying instructions from control room
- keeping director and producer informed about off camera action
- assisting in planning and preparation
- overseeing the work of other departments
- rehearsing live shows
- giving cues and time counts to presenters, actors or guests
- organising runners
- anticipate any changes
- managing the audience
- dealing with technical problems
-liaising with public relations  

VT Editor
- receiving outline of footage or shot list
- assembling all raw footage
- inputting uncut rushes and sound and synchronising files
- digitally cutting files
- creating a rough cut
- recording and fine-tuning the content
- overseeing quality and progress of audio and video
- experiment with styles and progress
- writing voiceover/commentary

Studio Production Assistant 
-  support the producer
- involved in all stages from pre-production through post-production
- assigns responsibilities daily
- duties include; script, drafting letters, phone calls
- run an office, interview personnel, co-ordinate fundraisers
- liaise between the producer and the post production team
- copyright materials
