Studio Production Ideas

Idea 1 - Party Mania:

What if children's party games were played by adults?

Types of games:
  • musical chairs - have to wear rubber rings? or really big chairs and really small chairs
  • pass the parcel - have to wear mitten to make it difficult to open
  • musical statues - wear platforms or have to balance on wobbly boards?
  • Blindman's Bluff
  • Simon says
  • Chinese whispers - we are headphones so they cant really hear properly?
  • slang shirts - make a shirt that has all the 70s slang terms - who ever has the most words is the winner or pens could be really small or really big
  • twister - wear flippers to make it difficult?
  • pet rock contest - 40 second to make one?
  • karaoke? - maybe…
Layout of series:
  • each episode there are different contestants
  • the presenter will also be the judge (audience as well for some of the games)
  • there will be a certain amount of time to each game - varying from 40 seconds to 3/4 minutes each game (6 to 7 games can be played) -  (if VTs are a minutes)
  • each game - who ever the winner is gets a point
  • should they be in groups or on their own?
  • Target Audience - 28>
  • age of players - 40s-50s
  • the winner will win a prize - a meal for two at a restaurant or a gift voucher…

Idea 2 - "Artsy Pants"

Contests will compete against each other to produce the best painting/drawing, where each episode/round will have a certain theme or material that has o be used.

Types of materials/themes:
  • paint
  • oil paint
  • acrylic
  • airbrush
  • chalk
  • crayon
  • ink
  • oil paint
  • stencil
  • spray paint
  • charcoal
  • graphite sticks
Round:
  • have to use a certain colour palette
  • abstract work
  • graffiti
  • finger painting
  • canvas
  • sheet or cloth
  • crepe paper
Layout of series :
  • the artists are only given a certain amount of time to complete each round (maybe 5 minutes for 3-4 rounds)
  • each round will have a winner (maybe paintings can be rated from 1-10 and who ever has the most points by the end of the episode is the winner)
  • either there can be the presenter and 2-3 judges (experts or professionals in art) or just the presenter who is the judge as well, along with the audience
  • contestants - ages 20> BUT should they be professionals who know how to draw or should it be non-artists to make it more comedy based
  • target audience - 28>
