We were told before the Christmas break that we should have a 2-3 ideas of a show that we would produce.  My 2 ideas were: adults playing children's games, and an art program (this idea did not have much to go on) I decided to develop the party idea and called it 'Party Mania'. For our pitching idea I made sure to mention how the show would go, what each round would be, what the VTs would include, the prize of the show, set layout, camera layout and audience layout. Only thing that had not been done was the script but that is because it was not asked for, and is supposed to be the next step after the final chosen idea. For this unit Joshua Jones idea won; 'The Big Movie Quiz'.  After Joshs idea was chosen we had interviews on the roles that we wanted to do. To prepare for my interview I researched the two roles I wanted to do (a blog post was done about it). I applied for the role of Floor Manager and production Manager and was successful.  Below I will

6th April 2017 - Live Recording Day

This day was absolutely amazing! When I arrived in the morning at the studio, I continued discussion with the lighting men and the director to make sure that everything was in the correct place. Then, I made sure all camera people where on talk back. When George (the host) arrived, i brought him and his girlfriend into the studio, made sure they were okay and if they wanted anything to drink. I then left him in the care with the Producer. After making sure everyone was in position, runners knew what they were doing and our stand ins were aware, we went straight into our first rehearsal. As the runners had practised on how to change the set and knew were to place everything it went very smoothly. Likewise, the second rehearsal was just as good. I decided that I would place the spinner for round 3 under the hosts podium because it was an object that kept slipping my mind. Also, I had water, baby wipes, tissues, towels and the cream under his podium. Likewise, I placed water bottl

5th April 2017 - Set Rigged

I have never been so stressed in my life. I didn't know what to do first and which situation to tackle first. But I stayed on top and made sure everything ran smoothly and there were no bad situations. I feel that we were called in too early and there was a lot of waiting about happening. We could not set up our stuff without the set being finished which delayed a bit (people only got half hour lunches and a lot of people were complaining) - I agree. Problem: wires and how to cover them. I wasn't able to place that today because I don't know what the seating plan is so I am unable to place anything in the correct position. Becca and I will be arranging this tomorrow working around the camera since they have been placed properly. We will have a better idea of the layout and where I can put the safety for people not to trip over the wires. Misreading Lauras email that I had to be in at 9, I missed the briefing on safety but was later briefly briefed and will also be the
